It takes at least 3 weeks to get travel autorization ..you could av gotten your letter first before booking flight

My understanding is that travel authorization is required only for students with expired visas.
My student pass is not expired means I travel without travel authorisation yea

Yes. This is the latest announcement from the Immigration Department. Existing students with a valid student pass do not require to apply for travel auhtorization. Please ensure that your student pass is valid at the point of entry.
