Thank you for the prompt reply, just the follow up question, since I am not looking for extending my visa, what happens to our personal bond ? Can we reclaim it while going on the social visa ?

Hello EMGS, I am currently outside Malaysia and my visa is nearing to the expiry date. I still need to get my final graduation results from my institute and the personal deposit. What happens to them if my visa expires ? Can I go on social pass to get them ?

You will get it from your university along with student pass.

It can be used only in case of emergency cases or when you are hospitalized and not for the clinic visits. They give you some member id card along with it. Before buying that contact your university if they have a cheaper option.

I don’t know the process for your institution but most probably you need to ask the visa office in your university. Also if you don’t get student pass within 2-3 weeks they charge you around RM 150 for a special pass.

It will get 100 percent once you receive your student pass. To recieve student pass, post arrival medical check-up is required along with your other documents so I think 75 percent indicates that. Incase you have any doubt , you should just ask your university international office, they will be much more help to you.

I don’t know if Bangladesh process for sev is same as India . I got my sev within 2 days but I had applied it online rather than submitting my passport.

It means your val should be available to download. Once you download it you, when you come to Malaysia your university will help you to finish your student pass application and it will be 100 percent.

Make a folder of all the documents Mariam said. And if you are from public university then you can walk out without any representative. If you are from public university they will ask you to show offer letter too along with val. So keep all the documents handy.

Incase of rejection, you have to provide the letter from a specialist that you are healthy and can stay in another country. There is time limit of 3 or 5 working days if I am not wrong. You need to provide that letter where you did your medical test.

After waiting for three days, did you go back to the embassy to take your passport and they told you your passport wasn’t ready? I submitted my passport on Monday and they told to come back to pick it up on Thursday. On time and no problems.

Hello EMGS,
I have booked my flight with AirAsia from Jakarta and I just found that AirAsia arrives at KLIA2. I am advised to arrive at KLIA1, but I absolutely had no idea that AirAsia arrives at KLIA2 as this is my first time traveling to KL from Jakarta. Would there be any problem with at the immigration check?

You will get eVisa on Monday but you will need to apply for eSEV on monday itself to get it by friday. It is in timeline so you should get it easily by 13th.

If I count for my VAL to be ready for download from July 31, it has been 3 days and I still have not gotten a notice of my VAL to be ready for download. Because EMGS told me that it takes 2-3 working days for VAL to be ready for download. Could you help assist with this problem?

You will need to get it from OSC SEV. You cant do it with eVISA.

It is normal. You dont need to worry about that. It will send u three notifications. You can only finish it once you are in malaysia.

Does the notification tell you to send the document yourself or your institution? Because in my case, it was the institution that needed to send the document to EMGS, not me. Even though I could send the document myself through email, but I was not allowed to.
