Ayo in January malaysia opened the borders for international students, I don’t know which country your from but from Bangladesh students have been going to Malaysia from the end of March. Those that are applying for val extension their vals are piled up for a year in immigration department because of lockdown, the approvals are not automatic, all are done manually thats why its take a bit long for all of us.
If the applications are piled up during the lockdown as you speculated, logically they should be given priority by immigration after the lockdown, not new applications.
