Yes. Immigration only covered maximum 3 years of course. U want more u will have to apply before the validity ends.
-
Thank you.

Never heard of val that cover more than 6 months! and Val is for you to enter the country not to stay here may be you mean student pass
-
Yes, the validity of the VAL is 6 months but right underneath my course and institution, it’s written duration approved 36 months, but my course is for 42 months. I was asking about that.
-
Apply for an extension at the beginning of the 34th month. You don’t have to leave the country, no worries.
-
Thank you

@Hatem it was not the VAL duration but the validity of the student pass duration the immigration can give the students.VAL only valid for 6 months.
-
I got it now, thank you , Mine is for 1 year and my study duration is for 2 years .Too many people complain of ambiguous instructions/procedures. Hopefully by the next year and beyond things will be much easier for all students .
-
If im not mistaken Immigration can give u student pass cover your whole duration of study. But seems like that was a lie. Cos so far they only gave 2 yeaes max never the entire period of study.

Thank you anyway.
I sent them to both university and EMGS on 14 November.
I did email the university on 20 November and thrice after that but I’ve not received any answer to any of them.
