Hi EMGS officer,
I am an existing PhD student @ UPM and am in my second year. I think I can’t afford to pay the quarantine fee (RM 4700) now. My travel authorization form has been approved; so how long is my approved authorization letter valid to use to enter into Malaysia? My passport number is P00758056. The quarantine cost is extremely high and seems to act as a disincentive to stop students from coming back. However, I might possibly be delayed by the financial burder that you created due to the overcharging cost of the so called quarantine.

  We understand your predicament. The travel authorization form has no validity. However, the decision to issue you an entry permit is solely at the discretion of the Malaysian Mission. Furthermore, please note that the quarantine fees is determined by the Malaysian Government. You may refer to the relevant government agencies for further information.
