Please be informed that 30% indicates your documents are being vetted and your institution will be notified on further updates regarding your application. Once the percentage changes to 35%, it means your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) application has been submitted to the Immigration Department for approval. The issuance of your VAL is entirely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

The percentage will increase to 60% once your application for Visa Approval Letter (VAL) has been Approved. EMGS will notify your Institution once the documents are ready for collection or courier. Please note that the VAL Approval/Rejection is at the sole discretion of The Immigration Department.

Please take note that the percentage will increase to 70% when your VAL has been collected/couriered to your institution. you are required to obtain a Single Entry Visa prior to arrival (If applicable). The VAL should be within the validity period upon arrival and medical screening should be attended within 7 days of your arrival.

We are unable to advise you the specific time frame to complete 30% to 70% as it all depends on actions taken by your institute and yourself to submit the documents and passport to EMGS upon arriving in Malaysia in order for us to submit your passport to the Immigration Department for the Student Pass sticker endorsement.
