Dear EMGS Team,
Greetings,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Tarek Mohamed Mahmoud Fouad Mostafa, and I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Lincoln University College, Malaysia. I am writing to seek your kind guidance and support regarding my visa (EVAL) validity under exceptional circumstances beyond my control.
As per the current situation, my annual leave has been officially cancelled by my employer in the State of Qatar due to regional conditions, and I have been informed that all travel approvals are suspended until further notice. Therefore, I am currently unable to travel to Malaysia as planned.
I fully understand that:
The EVAL validity is limited to 6 months from the date of issuance.
I am required to enter Malaysia within this period and stay on campus for at least 30 days during my first visit.
However, due to this unexpected situation, I may not be able to travel before my EVAL expiry (30 April), and I do not have a confirmed timeline for when travel approval will be granted.
In this regard, I kindly seek your advice on the following:
Is there any possibility for EVAL extension or special consideration under such exceptional circumstances?
If extension is not possible, what is the procedure for re-issuance of EVAL without affecting my admission status?
Are there any alternative arrangements or recommendations that would allow me to maintain compliance with immigration requirements until I am able to travel?
For your reference, please find my details below:
