My study at USM is coming to the end. I’ve got the PhD, but the real reward is the deep and informative study I have been living with over the past few years. The person who got the degree is not the same as that who came to this platform asking about the visa approval letter, years back. The univesity believed in me and helped me navigate tgrough philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, education, interpreting, and more of the art and science of language interpreting.
I lived very happy moments here in this very platform. There were questions, concerns and hopes. We engaged during the covid days. We helped each other as members. And we congratulated each other for getting the visa. I will never forget us asking one another about the 5%, 15%, 35% , about downloading the eval, or about the pending applications.
Personally, it is not the degree only that I got, but the happy moments that made my dream attainable.
I know I have been like many others nagging lot. And I know that misunderstandings happened until I had navigated through the culture. I am sorry for that just as I am touched by Emgs officers patience.
To my colleagues, I say: be patient until the end. And, the end as I see it now is beautiful.
