Depends. Are you travelling in August UNTIL October, or August and then again in October. If you’re travelling for 3 months (August UNTIL October) thenn I’ll recommend you call EMGS and ask them. If you’re coming back after August, then It’s better you go and submit your application after you come back because they may not let you submit with 4 months left on your valid student pass
I am planning to travel twice.
Say if i submit my passport for renewal on say the 25th of August, can I receive it by 5th October?

Kindly be advised that the Renewal process takes approximately 7 working days for EMGS to process your documentation which also depends on any additional documents or corrections required. Once the checking of the documents submitted by your institute is completed, we will request for your Passport for the Student Pass Sticker Endorsement.
Please take note that EMGS only accept passport for student pass sticker endorsement when the student pass has a validity of one month or less. You may liaise with your institute for further clarification or else you may contact us at +603 2782 5888 or drop us an email at enquiry(at)emgs.com.my from Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 8 pm including Public Holidays for further clarification.
