    • universities were allowed to before the pandemic. i’m not sure if it is allowed now but my university has said they cannot do so. it’s best to contact your university for this as they can better guide you

    • I have just calculated the grab taxi fare from the airport to Johor UTM. The prices shows less than MYR300 which I think is more convenient than any other option and is indeed not expensive especially since this is your first time to come.

Alternatively, ask at the arrival station if you are allowed to take a taxi to go to the bus station and get your bus to Johor. You can then book a ticket either directly at the bus terminal or through http://www.easybook.com

Still, lots of time will be wasted as you move to the bus terminal and wait for the bus. Consider the grab taxi.
IMPORTANT: Do not take any transportation means until you have double checked with the health personnel.

I am putting this information on the assumption that you are on a home quarantine plan.

If it is hotel quarantine, then it is much easier and what you would simply need is to freely choose your transportation after release from the hotel.

Please update us to see what other information you will need.

      • Thank you so much for all the information. But I think I will book a connecting flight to Johor from KSA. One stop at KL.
however, I will check out the link you have provided.
It would be great if you knew anyone who goes to UTM Johor.
        Thanks again. 🙏🏻

        • Check for two things:
          1. The time for the connection flight should be comfortably ample to accommodate for your time that you will sepnd at the health covid test station.

          2. If your flight to Johor will depart from KLIA2, you will need transportation from KLIA1. There is usually a train but am not sure if it is currently in use, given the covid. Check the website KLIA.

        • I don’t know anyone traveling to Johor and if it were for me I would always play solo.

That you are traveling alone for the first time means you think very slowly and be very calm. None of us ever can have accurate information because things are fast evolving to keep pace with covid developments.

Once you arrive at the airport at KL, ask them to guide you. Your important question is how to move from KLIA to KLIA2 on case the domestic flight departs from there. For example one day I read that moving between the two terminals is not allowed. That is indeed what I read but when you arrive you will most likely see new developments. There could be better arrnagmenets.

    • Dua i am from UTM, you can get transportation in sharing from KLIA for around 100rm per person

      • But i think people travelling from ksa are not allowed home quarantine. In that case you will have to do quarantine in KL hotel.

    • Dua. I checked the airport website. Further to my comment and movement between Klia1 and Klia2, it seems to be possible. The link https://airports.malaysiaairports.com.my/covid-information/public-transport-services

Consider also what Saba Baloch has just said. I assume you already got approval for home quarantine. We are hearing some talks about introducing digital surveillance devices from comers from Saudi Arabia. I do not know if any updated circular requires comers from Saudi to strictly undergo institutional quarantine.
