Dear emgs support team,
May I know if the immigration is currently taking actions against over staying students, cause my visa is expired and I only need to submit my passport and get the new visa, but my current passport will expire after 8 months and I want to get a 1 year visa, but since I’ll receive my new passport in mid of Feb, if I stayed from now until February with no visa will I face any issues? Thank you

  Hello Marwan. I checked emgs website and read that if you overstay you should immediately ask your university to apply for a special pass. I know you are looking for an answer from emgs but thought it could be helpful to share with you this information. Back in my country Jordan, I read in the news a story about a problem that has happened recently to an overstayed Jordanian student in Malaysia. Good luck!
