I did not find at the Kuala Lumpur Airport any sim card vendor. Even if there were one, I was escorted by an officer who would ensure that I would be in contact with nobody. Oh there should be sim vendor because people from different countries especially students travel to Malaysia for the first time how they can get Malaysian sim

I gave the officers the hotel phone. They accepted that. I also gave them the mobile phone of a friend. This is why I said you will need to prepare those details in advance. I cannot for sure say there were no vendors but the airport seemed to literally empty. Even the kiosks of sim card vendors vanished in thin air. I did not ask because everything was in a hurry and an officer was on my heels from the moment I stampedy passport until I was handed over to the taxi driver.
