Dear EMGs, can you please appeal to the immigration and the government to allow student dependents to come in? They is only a few number of students who have dependents and want them to come inside. We will all get quarantined together so we really don’t post that much of a risk.

Please appeal to them or give us a channel to contact them and provide our own supporting letters and explanations. Our life is on hold, our research is on hold and our property in Malaysia is getting wasted. I have been requesting for a very long time for you to reason with the authorities to allow our dependents in and I hope this time you actually listen to me. You are only point of contact with the immigration, they don’t take our requests and always just refer us to you. Speak up for us. Our dependents don’t add risk to the country, they travel and quarantine with us anyway. I am sure my 6 months old baby is not more of a Covid risk to the country than me anyway. Please reason. We are being harmed severely and no one is caring about us.
