Dear EMGS officer, following up on my previous post about the dependents fee in our bank statements needing to be 20,000 RM instead of the usual 5,000 RM, you have informed me that you are in the midst of clarifying it.

Then I saw this release (photo attached) here on this forum and I thought that the decision has been postponed for now at least. When I contacted my institution about it they just said the immigration said 20,000 RM. Could you please confirm if this photo is true or not? Is the decision postponed? Does that mean for now 5,000 or 20,000 RM is required? This is very frustrating and confusing (besides the fact that 20,000 RM for one dependent is absurd when you don’t even allow us to enter, lol.). If this decision is postponed, why is my institution saying otherwise? Is there no form of communication between EMGS and institutions? Why is everything a goose chase when it comes to student news? Why is nothing clear? Why do you stress us out even more?

Please clarify this matter once and for all, it is being too much being away for so long and then getting confused like crazy about this weird 20,000 RM ruling. PLEASE HELP US OUT HERE!
