A student had to take a temporary leave from studies and cancelled their visa, but in order to settle their rental apartment and for some other necessities to settle before returning back to own country, they have to come back to Malaysia for a few days. Could the student extend the cancelled visa or go to a neighbouring country and come back on a tourist visa. The ticket back to their own country is very expensive, do they have to return to their country before coming back. Could you please let me know the procedure? Thank you

  As per Immigration rules, the students are required to return to their home once the pass is canceled.
  
  Kindly liaise with the Malaysian Embassy in your home country in the event if you want to return to Malaysia with a tourist visa.
