Yes. It is visa renewal.
It took 29 days…almost a month to move from 80% to 90%. It is only this year that I am facing this delay. In previous times, it took about 14 days or less.
It is too bad that this time I need it urgently, yet the delay has also occured this time. It would be unfortunate if I miss my conference presentation because of something out of my control. I am sure EMGS will not also want this to happen.
Well, I did ask my university. They said they have not been notified to collect it. Unless they get the notification, they cannot collect it. They can collect it within 24hours of the notification.

Congratulations on the issuance of your student pass. We will notify your institution to collect your passport from us as soon as we receive it from the Immigration Department.

I would appreciate if you could call them and see if it the remaining 10% can be completed at the earliest possibility. I believe my passport is just one phone call away. If you could do this, I would be very grateful. Thank you.
