Because i plan to travel malaysia on 30 august and i apply for SEV on 23rd july..so i want to know that can i apply for SEV on 23rd july
Bhai mere agar aaap abhi se bhi sev apply karoge koi masla nai.. travel karne se pehle 20 din ki gap honi chahiye. Btw India se hona aap?
Are you sure that 20 days before apply go to malaysia?
Because sometimes it may take more time isi liye 20 din pehle recommended hai

In which date your class is started and when u reach malaysia?
SEV has 90 days of vaidity so would suggest you to get it ahead of time.

Which embassy/consulate u had apply for SEV?
I will be going to usm for masters in cs. In india, embassy or consulate dont accept applications.you have to goto EMGS one stop solution store which are at only at few places. I applied for evisa only n it took 3 working days. If there are any holidays in India or Malaysia then your visa will take more time.

But evisa application is not for student because student apply for SEV by embassy
No evisa is also for students.When you apply they will have detailed steps. It takes less than 10 mins for the whole process.They will only ask for image of your passport and eval. Thats it no other requirement.
So are u apply for SEV online?
My semester will start from 6th September. I want to finish my things so they dont interrupt my studies, so i have chosen to go 15 days ahead of my start of classes.

I would like to stay in hostel there since it quite cheaper compared with outside accomodation. So I am currently enquiring about that with my university but just to be on safer side I am also looking for dormitory outside the university. What about you? Have you already figiured it out?

My flight is from Mumbai since I am from Mumbai myself. Will be going by Singaporeair.

Will booking air tickets be careful about baggage allowance. Some of them are quite low which will be costly for you since they charge 1k rupees for every kg 😀

I applied online on the website I mentioned since it was significantly cheaper and fast.
Kkk but if apply online then how SEV stamp on passport it means if i apply online then SEV is just like VAL i.e. it is a computer generated SEV R8.
But if i carry computer generated to airport and when immigration say show your SEV nd etc..then maybe any problem created of computer generated SEV . Is it possible or not?
I dont think any problem should be there. Remember representative from your university will be there if you need help. Also as long as your SEV and VAL are valid, you are good to go.
Are your e-sev approved and are u recive ur e-sev?
When all visa are internet based visa then in passport which visa are stamp?
Yes I have received my e-sev. They will stamp your passport at the time when you are entering Malaysia.

Please be informed that you are required to liaise with the Malaysian Embassy directly with regards to SEV application. Kindly take note that you will be able to make your travel arrangements upon receiving the SEV and you may liaise with your institution for further clarification on your travel arrangement.
