Hello, Is it mandatory to have IELTS and Pre Medical test results before one intends to apply for VAL or simply these are needed at a later stage and if one has a SURNAME mentioned on passport but not on educational qualification.Is that Ok…please reply

  Based on 2018 new law some universities ask it mandatory to have IELTS test and some still need it later after entering Malaysia. However, pre Medical is mandatory requirement for your VAL application and there will be post arrival check up as well. In addition, your surname must be in all your documents if not so then they will ask for embassy letter regarding your documents to confirm it. It will be from your country embassy within Malaysia by your university representative.

    Thanks a lot for your kind reply.so after my medical test can i apply for VAL.Actually i am presently in Saudi till 7 June.After 7 June i will be in india.So if i apply from Saudi then can i do rest of the things from India after June 7.And how long does VAL usually take.Further Surname and IELTS will not be a reason to get my VAL application rejected.kindly let me know
