But you have to do the medical anyway. If you dont do it from the approved medical center of Malaysian immigration in India, you will be required to do it in Malaysia at the time of registration at your university. The tests includes a number of blood tests to ensure you are free HIV, Hapatitis etc. Second they will conduct your vision test. Third Chest X Ray and lastly a discussion with and check up with the doctor to ensure you are sane and stable.

Assuming that you refered to 60% progress, you will reach 70% in a day or two. After that ask your uni to send you VAL. With that VAL go to nearest Malaysian embassy and apply for Single Entry Visa. You should get that in 5 -7 days.
