@sali_1 You are required to return to Malaysia within 3 months of your Student Pass expiry. The approval to renew your Student Pass is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

@sali_1 Based on the current process, the Malaysian Immigration Department will only allow you to renew your student pass if your current student pass expiry has not lapsed for more than 3 months. You will be required to enter Malaysia on a social visit pass and subsequently obtain the renewed student pass.

@sali_1 That’s correct. However, you need to refer to the Malaysian Embassy in Indonesia to apply for a Tourist Visa when your Student Pass expires whilst you are outside Malaysia.
