Maldives does not need an SEV to enter Malaysia. As long as you bring along your VAL and a representative from the institution is there to pick you up, everything should go smoothly. (As stated by the EMGS officer on my post)

However there were complications due to unavailable documents which needed to be formally explained with proof. After all the documents were acquired it took around 2 weeks.
