But you have to do the medical anyway. If you dont do it from the approved medical center of Malaysian immigration in India, you will be required to do it in Malaysia at the time of registration at your university. Nonetheless, it is not the requirement for visa at this stage.

I called EMGS today and they told me that Post Medical checkup is mandatory even if the Pre-Medical has been done from the EMGS certified hospital. In addition, EMGS told me that the Pre-Medical is not compulsory for EMGS. However, if the institute asks then one has to do it.
