Dear EMGS,
I am PhD student at University Malaya.
I just came to know that to get the dependent pass, we need to submit bank statement to RM 10,000 per dependent.
Means in case of two dependents, we should have 30,000 RM in Malaysian bank account… is it true?

Dear Emgs, my student visa is going to expire on 11 Nov and I am currently in my home country.
To renew my visa, I can apply it from my home country or should I wait until I come back?

Dear Emgs,
Although the F2F classes have been banned and universities moved on to online classes but what about PhD students who have to perform their research work in the labs?
Kindly allow them atleast … We can even provide any letter of needed from University or supervisor… 1 year with no output has already passed … Too much loss of time…[Read more]

That’s surprising.
My flight was also on 22 but extended bcz embassy said we can’t travel.
But it’s good that u take a risk n travelled.

Even the airline are also saying that we haven’t received any written notification yet.
Why is that so?
Why they are taking so much time?

Dear EMGS
Please clarify that existing students from 23 countries who have already gotten travel authorization before 7 Sept can now travel?
Is that travel authorization letter is still valid? Or we need to get a new one??
This situation is really upsetting…
My flight is on 22 Sept…
Please respond so that I can make arrangements accordingly.

But only EMGS can confirm this.

I am an existing PhD student of University Malaya. I already have entry permit and travel authorization. My flight was on 15 Sept but now extended for 22 Sept.
Can I return now? Do I need to apply again for entry permit?

For me, it took 10 days for travel authorization and 1 day for entry permit…but it vary case to case and also depends on luck
