It is okay that you travel with the printed VAL. Just make sure if u need SEV or not.

they have already emailed my VAL. Exaclty Ahmed, I think this is the problem, there was only one option’ Iraq, Baghdad’ and I chose it (didn’t know what else to do). I emailed them now and aksed them to courier my VAL to Iraqi embassy in Malaysia. I hope it is possible. Thanks

Hii everyone, Urgent Enquiry:
Got my VAL by email and Visa Unit in my university is asking me for address of emabssy to courier my original VAL, but there no embassy in my country. So, can I travel to Malaysia and get my original VAL from the university??

Hello everyone, Urgent Enquiry pls,
I checked the website of Malaysian’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and found out there isn’t embassy/ high commission or consulate in my country( Iraq). So, does that mean I can travel to Malaysia using ticket and printed VAL??

Thanks brother. Once the Visa Unit said that there is no embassy in my country. However, they emailed me asking about embassy’s address and saying that I need to obtain SEV from there.

I see, I think you u will get ur VAL much before the orientation date bcoz usually after 15%, the process becomes quicker. Today, my percentage increased to 70% so im only waiting to receive the VAL.
do u have whats up, tango or viber? or any other application? I’d like to chat..

Don’t worry. Just submit or email the required documents to ur institution(It must have already emailed u and asked u to submit the document). When u submit them to ur inst. , it will take about 2 working days then ur emgs application will state that it has received the documents and the progress will continue. when is ur registration?

haha, yeah. I was a bit stressed about that either. when is ur registration? I think our faculties are neighbours. Hopefully we’ll see each other there.

I think u can’t do anything about it coz it is in the hands of the Immigration. So, I believe u just need to be patient and wait.

Thanks a lot. 15 to 35 might not take longer than 6 days as for me. Only every morning! I check it up every hour haha. im from kurdistan region of Iraq. It is also great that we didn’t have to take pre-arrival screening.

Perhaps it depends on the nationality and stuff. concerning mine, it took 3 working days from 35 to 60 %. wat major have u applied for abd wat uni?

When you get your VDR or Student Visa (both are the same), then you will have to obtain SEV(single entry visa) if only you’re listed from the countries that are required to obtain SEV

If I may ask another question pls: in my app. hostory, a section says ‘pending payment by the institution- pending the submission for my VAL’ what does that mean? I have already paid for my VAL.
